Corvus Cycles Launches the 2025 Akio – The Ultimate Fat Bike

April 18th, 2024

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Elevate your adventure with the pinnacle of innovation and step into the future with the 2025 Corvus Akio. Winner of multiple Fatbike of the Year awards and the most successful and copied fatbike of all time, from Greg Matyas, the grandfather of the modern fatbike, founder and owner of Corvus Cycles.

Equipped with state-of-the-art components tested in extreme conditions, the Akio delivers unrivaled performance that sets a new benchmark in its class.

Four years in the making, we pulled out all the stops with features such as:

  • Optimized geometry for 27.5″ wheels (large 26″ tires, such as the Schwalbe Al Mighty won’t have a negative affect).
  • Sleeved internal cable routing for ease of assembly and maintenance.
  • PF120 BB allowing maximum clearance for both chainrings and tires.
  • In-frame storage to keep rarely needed items stowed away near the bottom bracket.
  • Maximum standover height combined with a huge volume increase in the main triangle for frame bags – all of it down low for the lowest possible center of gravity.
  • Lower BB height for that “in the frame” feel.
  • Shorter axle-to-crown fork height to increase main triangle storage capacity, with multiple mount options.
  • Portage handle to help the rider lift the bike when fully loaded.
  • UDH for easy replacement, and SRAM transmission capability.
  • 180mm brake post mount front & rear for maximum stopping power under load.
  • Integrated rack & bag mounting points.

Designed, race-tested & trail-proven in Alaska, the Corvus Akio is taking fatbiking to an unprecedented level. Available Fall 2024.
